sharing the bigger picture of our adoption story
We spent our Fourth of July holiday in West Tennessee with Brad’s family. Grammy Linda had knee replacement surgery on the third and by the fourth she was itching to get her hands on the babies. We spent some of the day visiting with Grammy in the hospital and some of the day shopping with Aunt Lucille (babies don’t really do so well in cramped hospital rooms) and ended the day back and Grammy & Granddaddy’s house. Grammy wanted us to get a picture of Hank & Norah together. Hank was very cooperative. Ahem.

Ahem. Thank you.

It’s a tough crowd sometimes.
We were all surprised when Grammy called on Saturday morning and told us not to come to the hospital because she was getting out on good behavior coming home! We were also pleasantly surprised when Great Grandmother, Brad’s cousin LeeAnn and her daughter Shelby stopped by to visit. Hank & Norah had fun playing with Shelby. She is a character.
Norah and I are planning to spend a little more time with Grammy while she is recovering at home, so stay tuned for more West TN-flavored posts in the weeks to come.
Our adoption story was written long ago, not by us but by our Creator. His plan to adopt us into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ planted seeds in our hearts that came to life in June 2007 when we welcomed Norah into our family through a domestic adoption. Though the little details of this blog may be about our adoption story, we hope our thoughts and images might inspire you to look into the bigger picture of God's plan for your life - to adopt you into His family as one of His children.
