sharing the bigger picture of our adoption story
One of my favorite things we did last fall was go to the pumpkin patch. I hope you check out those pictures because it makes my heart melt to see Norah’s little round baby face and wispy hair.
Anyway, Walden Farm is right here in Smyrna and is one of the best pumpkin patches I […]
Of course, I know it’s not officially here yet, but one afternoon of mild weather and I want to pull out my sweaters and sprinkle leaves on my fireplace mantle!
We played outside after Norah got up from her nap yesterday, because I don’t know who could resist that fresh air - it felt GREAT!
Brad got […]
I can’t believe in all my years working for the Boys & Girls Club that I never ever went to the Discovery Center. I mean, I knew it was wonderful and heard LOTS of great feedback about it every time we sent the kids there on a trip - I just never happened to […]
Cousin Hank celebrated his birthday in style today with a Pirate Birthday Party. Shai worked so hard to pull together all these awesome details to make Hank’s day as cool as he is.

Seems as if there’s dueling artists in our home now. I’m stalking everyone with my camera, and you never know when you’re being filmed now that someone has a video camera.
Here’s a few of his latest creations. (If you’re reading in bloglines, click on the post so you can watch too!

I got these little Purity Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches for myself for when I want a little something sweet. Since we were headed for the bathtub anyway, we decided it might be fun to let Norah have one and actually hold it herself. She really enjoyed it.
This face cracks me up
All done!
Whew. It’s been a whirlwind of a day. You know the kind of day that seems like it could have been about 3 days packed into one? That was today. But in a good way.
This morning we ran errands…I needed to pick up Mary Elizabeth’s gift from the Peanut Gallery Toy […]
Norah is at the perfect age for enjoying a play kitchen. Every time we go to someone’s house who has one, she seems to gravitate towards it. I really love the wooden play kitchens out there (like this red one from Pottery Barn Kids and my favorite are these from Land of Nod) […]
My husband got a Flip Video Camera for his birthday.
OH - HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!
Anyway, one little known fact about Brad is that he is well-versed in pop culture. He’s always up on the latest music, trends, etc. I love seeing what songs he comes up with for all these little movies he’s making […]
This is what Norah and I have been jammin’ to this morning. Yes, I said jammin’.
So cute. Let me know if your kids like it too!
Our adoption story was written long ago, not by us but by our Creator. His plan to adopt us into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ planted seeds in our hearts that came to life in June 2007 when we welcomed Norah into our family through a domestic adoption. Though the little details of this blog may be about our adoption story, we hope our thoughts and images might inspire you to look into the bigger picture of God's plan for your life - to adopt you into His family as one of His children.
