Christmas Eve morning was spent at home. Norah helped me in the kitchen mixing up our goodies to bake and take to Daddy George’s house.
Perhaps it was here that she snuck a safety pin into the mixer…because Brad bit into one later in the afternoon and got a nice little surprise. Guess that […]
At Norah’s school they do a really sweet Christmas Program each year. Her class does a little parade in wagons during the song “Jingle Bells”, so Norah proudly shook her bells like a good girl. She was really cute.
After the parade, Norah came and sat with Dick, Leslie and Sarah while I sat […]
On Thanksgiving weekend we participated in Parent-Child Dedication at our church. This is a time when we stand before our church family and pledge that we dedicate ourselves to raising our child in a home that encourages her to develop a relationship with Jesus. We also ask our church to come alongside us […]
It’s a cool story how we came to be friends with little Noah and his family! His Mom, Kim, contacted me about a Celebrating Adoption photo session for their family in honor of Noah’s little brother Josh’s adoption from Kazakhstan. I am pretty sure this photo illustrates why I don’t hand over digital files to my clients in real life.
You can read the whole story on Micah’s blog. Props to Tim for his creativity and for his Fantasy Football domination.
I want to invite all the ladies reading this blog to join me for a Girls Night Out on September 19. It will be a night full of all of the girly goodies you can think of - fun times, giveaways and chocolate…and just a break from your busy schedule to re-charge.
Word […]

Our adoption story was written long ago, not by us but by our Creator. His plan to adopt us into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ planted seeds in our hearts that came to life in June 2007 when we welcomed Norah into our family through a domestic adoption. Though the little details of this blog may be about our adoption story, we hope our thoughts and images might inspire you to look into the bigger picture of God's plan for your life - to adopt you into His family as one of His children.
