sharing the bigger picture of our adoption story
I think we’re coming to the end of an era in regards to Norah’s shoes.
I have loved putting her in Pediped Shoes since she was just a few months old. She’s currently wearing the 12-18 month size in the Pediped Originals style, with the soft leather soles. This translates into about a size […]
We left Norah’s leftover lunch plate on the table after lunch on Sunday and I noticed that she was helping herself to some hot dog pieces. I meant to get her down but I got distracted and forgot and we left and went to the grocery.
We came home and started putting things away and […]
Our little guy is growing up too…
Simon was born in February so he is celebrating his half-birthday this month. Look how big he’s getting compared to Katy.
Simon has made tremendous progress on his potty training. He is crate trained and sleeps in there at night with no accidents, and also spends time in […]
Dear Norah,Fourteen months is a whole new ballgame for you. After discovering and practicing your walking skills during month thirteen, you’re extremely mobile now and that scares me to death is very exciting.
Grannie found some old t-shirts of Mommy’s (in the same box as the dress) and lo and behold, they are just your […]
We have some travel plans this summer and one thing that is tripping us up is finding pet sitters for one or both of these dogs.
Katy, the yellow lab, is practically perfect in every way. She is an inside dog, patient with small children crawling all over her, will fetch anything, and will sleep […]
Don’t they all just look like they are up to something?I love how Simon Peter is totally cheesing for the camera. He is getting by on his good looks around here, because we are at a loss in regards to housebreaking him. The poor guy has had the hot sauce treatment, had his […]
Since I didn’t have the camera the whole day, there are lots of fun pictures that I found when I looked back through. Here are some of my favorites by Kyle, Christy, and a few that I took as well.
Check out My Mom’s Blog and Christy’s for some more party fun!
Two dogs that aren’t used to playing with five little boysKaty and Simon Peter
At church this morning, our friend Jana (oh wait, there’s no link to her name because she DOESN’T blog) was talking about how her husband has been out of town and she and her boys were looking forward to our small group lunch that afternoon so that the boys could play and she could have […]
I have photographed many a baby that hates their party hat. I decided that if I could let Norah wear hers a little at a time and get used to it, maybe she would wear it for cute pictures on the day of her party when she dives head first has her first birthday […]
Our adoption story was written long ago, not by us but by our Creator. His plan to adopt us into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ planted seeds in our hearts that came to life in June 2007 when we welcomed Norah into our family through a domestic adoption. Though the little details of this blog may be about our adoption story, we hope our thoughts and images might inspire you to look into the bigger picture of God's plan for your life - to adopt you into His family as one of His children.
