What an amazing and poignant story. My boyfriend's daughter has autism, and he definitely didn't sign up for that. He, too, longs desperately for "Italy," but has found many joyous moments in "Holland." Thank you so much for sharing that.

We still haven't met, but I check your blog from time to time. I'm so sorry to hear of Charlotte's diagnosis, but so glad she has a wonderful family who will be with her each step of the journey, getting her the care she needs and living out Jesus to her day by day. We'll be praying for a miracle in her little body and strength for her family.

So thankful for your outlook! Charlotte and your family are in my constant thoughts and prayers.

Eden gets services through the CDSA (equivalent to your TIES) and it has been amazing!!!! We have been so thankful and pleased with all the services she has received through them. I will be praying too that the Lord pairs you up with the perfect therapists too... that makes the world of a difference in my opinion!

Ali - My heart and prayers are with you all! The Lord chose you to be Charlotte's parents and He already knew this little bump in the road would come. :-)

I have a good friend whose son is about KJ's age and is visually impaired... most of his vision is gone if not all. They play together and he is just the same as every other precocious toddler! He knows KJ by feeling his hair!

Be blessed today! :-D

Alison--
I don't know you, I don't even remember how I happened to come across your blog, but know that you have friends in Wisconsin who are praying for you and your beautiful family. I started reading your blog, because we adopted a bi-racial son through Bethany, and it was nice to read about other families like ours. Peace to you--Amy
